Getting you pets ready for Fireworks
6/26/2023 (Permalink)
July is an exciting time of the year for most people. It’s the time for BBQ’s, family, friends, and fireworks! While most of us are enjoying the festivities, some pets can find it startling. Here are a few tips to help keep your pet a little more prepared and at ease during the stressful time for them:
- Make sure you walk your pets early in the day before most fireworks start.
- Keep all pets inside your home.
- Create a comfortable cozy area for them to relax in.
- Consider speaking with your vet about relaxing medications or treats to help calm your pets.
- Play sound or music to help drown out the sounds of the fireworks.
- Keeps doors and windows closed not only to drown out sound but to prevent your pet from running off while scared.
- Keep activities out for your pet to stay distracted.
- Consider providing hiding places for your pet to feel safe in.
